Frequently asked questions

Plastic, glass, ceramic, or metal?

Ceramic for thermal stability — keeps brew temp through the 3-minute pour. Plastic is fine for travel but loses temp faster. Glass looks great but is fragile. Metal is overrated; thermal conductivity is too high.

Why 02 instead of 01?

02 brews 1-4 cups; 01 brews 1-2. Almost everyone underestimates how often they'll brew for two. Just get 02 — it's the cafe size, and a 1-cup brew works fine in it.

What paper filter to buy when these run out?

Genuine Hario V60 02 white filters. Avoid the cheaper third-party brands — they're thicker pulp and they bleach paper flavour into your cup. We stock them at THB 180 / pack of 40.

Do I need a server underneath?

You can brew directly into a mug if you're making one cup. For 2+ cups, a server is worth it — also makes it easier to swirl + serve.
