Founded in 2019 by Khun Tatsuya Yamada, a former Onibus Coffee Tokyo barista who moved to Bangkok and noticed the gap between commercial-roast and the slow-coffee ritual culture of Japan. Kohi started as a single-bar pop-up in Sukhumvit Soi 33; today it's the roastery + cafe where Bangkok's slow-coffee community gathers.
Three origin partnerships locked in: Chiang Mai Doi Chaang (Thai single-origin), Ethiopian Yirgacheffe via Trabocca, and Brazilian Cerrado via direct trade with Familia Coelho. Roasted in our 12kg Probat in Sukhumvit Soi 33 every Tuesday and Friday — bags are dated, never older than 14 days when shipped.

The four brew methods we ship recipe cards for. Each one extracts different things from the same bean — try them all.
15g coffee : 225g water at 95°C. Bloom 30s, three pours over 3 minutes. Clean cup, bright origin character.
17g coffee : 240g water at 85°C. Inverted, 90s steep, 30s plunge. Travel-friendly, forgiving on grind, syrupy body.
30g coffee : 500g water at 96°C. Stir, 4-minute steep, gentle plunge. Heavy body, full mouthfeel, easy at scale.
80g coarse-ground : 1L water at room temp. Steep 14-18 hours, filter. Smooth, low-acid, keeps 7 days in the fridge.
